Hannah Griffin creates abstracted, expressionistic reproductions of photographs and memories through vibrant colors and bold brush strokes.

“The urgency I have when painting comes from spontaneous moments of unconscious courage that come from somewhere inside me. This is my way expressing emotion and how I work through the pressure of my thoughts. The result is a process that achieves a better understanding of the materials at hand, and myself as an individual and artist."   - Hannah

Hannah worked and studied under Atlanta-based artist Steve Penley in 2008 and 2009, and she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of West Georgia in 2014. Hannah currently lives and works in Carrollton, Georgia with her cat, NoaH.
